Where Identity Meets Performance
As the ecpc Performance League continues to take shape ahead of the 2026/27 season, every element of the environment is being designed with intent. This isn’t just about creating better athletes. It’s about creating a high-performance environment—one that reflects the standards, expectations, and professionalism of the international game. And that extends beyond training, competition, and data…
👉 It extends to how teams present themselves, how they feel, and how they represent the programme. That’s why ecpc has partnered with Burns Sportswear, led by award-winning designer Andrew Burns, to deliver a fully bespoke kit design process for every team in the league.
🎨 Designed With Purpose – Not Pulled Off a Shelf
Too often in domestic sport, teams are limited to generic templates—kits that are reused, repurposed, and lacking identity. The ecpc Performance League is deliberately different.Every team will step onto the court wearing a kit that is:
Exclusive to them
Designed around a clear team identity
Built for elite performance environments
Using fully sublimated production methods, these kits eliminate common issues:
No peeling or cracking logos
No heavy embroidery causing discomfort
No restriction in movement
No compromise on durability
This is kit built for performance—not compromise.
🧠 A Structured, High-Performance Design Process
This is not a passive or informal process. It is structured, deliberate, and aligned to the standards of elite sport.
1. Defining Team Identity
Having common uniform is key to help each team establish a clear identity framework:
Belonging
Pride and passion
What sets them apart from the rest
Exclusivity
This knowledge ensures every design has meaning—not just aesthetics.
2. Elite Design Development
Using this framework, Andrew Burns translated identity into performance-ready designs.
This goes beyond visuals. Each concept considers:
Athlete movement and comfort
Visibility under lighting and streaming conditions
Clarity of numbering and positional recognition
Balance between impact and professionalism
This is where experience at the highest level makes the difference.
3. Shortlisting to Three Designs
From the initial concepts, we received a number of proposals that were shortlisted to three final design options
Each one distinct. Each one viable. Each one capable of representing the team at a high-performance level.
The shortlisting process ensures:
Quality and clarity
Strong visual identity
A professional standard across the league
4. Final Design Selection
The final decision on each kit sits with the ecpc Technical Director, ensuring:
Alignment with the overall ecpc Performance League identity
Consistency of professional standards across all teams
Suitability for performance, broadcast, and presentation
A balance between individuality and a unified league aesthetic
This approach ensures that while each team has its own identity, the league maintains a cohesive, elite performance look and feel.
🏐 More Than a Kit – A Standard
In elite environments, presentation is not an afterthought—it is part of performance.
How a team looks influences:
Confidence
Presence
Perception
Standards
The ecpc Performance League is designed so that when athletes step onto the court:
👉 They don’t just feel like participants
👉 They feel like performers operating in a professional system
🚀 Raising the Bar
This collaboration reflects a wider ambition:
To professionalise the domestic performance environment
To prepare athletes for international expectations
To remove the gap between training and competition
From structured league play…
To performance data and analysis…
To high-quality streaming and visibility…
And now—to elite-level kit design
Every detail is intentional.
🔴 What Comes Next
Over the coming weeks:
Team identities will be defined
Design concepts will be developed
Final kits will be selected and revealed
And with that, the visual identity of the ecpc Performance League will come to life.
👉 This is not just about what athletes wear.
It’s about what the environment demands.
And when the season begins…
The standard will be visible before a ball is even served.
