Fancy a (possible) date with performance …
The Volleyball England calendars are now out.
After reviewing the current competition and pathway schedule, if the ecpc Performance League is able to progress, the below dates are currently viewed as the most suitable windows to operate within the season while avoiding conflict with any adult league commitments and minimising clashes with the wider performance calendar.
Proposed ecpc Performance League Dates
Series 1 — 12 & 13 September (HEVO Conference)
Series 2 — 17 & 18 October
Series 3 — 14 & 15 November (L32 Cup/Shield)
Series 4 — 26 & 27 December
Series 5 — 23 & 24 January (U20 Camp)
Series 6 — 06 & 07 March
Series 7 — 01 & 02 May
The current proposal would result in no conflict with any adult league competition weekends and only one overlap with a planned U20 training camp across the programme window.
From the beginning, the aim has never been to replace or challenge existing activity. The intention has always been to complement what already exists, create more meaningful competition opportunities, and provide an environment where athletes can continue to develop and perform.
Having visibility of the national calendar at least allows more realistic and informed discussions around what could be possible and how activity may fit responsibly within the wider volleyball landscape.
