If you’ve ever wondered what the legend that is Chester is up to, this graphic is inspired by one of his Venga Airways take-offs — a steep, committed climb, no hesitation, no holding pattern.
That is exactly what we are seeing right now. When we opened the initial expression of interest for the 2026/27 ecpc Performance League, we expected interest. What has followed has been something more meaningful. In the first 24 hours alone, 33 athletes registered their interest.
As we move beyond the 48-hour mark, that number has already risen to 46 — and it continues to climb. The graphic above isn’t just a visual. It’s a reflection of what is happening right now.
Momentum.
Energy.
Intent.
This Was Always There
For a long time, athletes have been telling us the same thing — not always directly, not always in words, but consistently through their actions, their questions, and their frustrations.
They are crying out for opportunities.
Opportunities to play, to compete, to be seen, to express themselves through meaningful, structured, competitive training where they can develop amongst their peers and push themselves and their team mates forward.
Not isolated camps, not occasional fixtures, but something consistent. Something visible. Something that matters. The demand hasn’t suddenly appeared, it has always been there - what has been missing is the platform.
Listening First, Then Building
This initiative hasn’t been created in isolation. It has been shaped by conversations with athletes across the game — from those trying to break through, to those already competing at a high level. By taking the time to listen — properly listen — patterns became clear:
athletes want more meaningful game play
they want accountability and visibility
they want environments where performance is measured and understood
and they want to feel part of something that is moving forward
The ecpc Performance League has been built directly from that insight. And the response in the first 48 hours tells us something important:
It has landed.
More Than Numbers
The figures — 33 in 24 hours, 46 in 48 — are not just statistics.
They represent athletes making a decision.
Stepping forward.
Putting their name into something.
Backing themselves.
Every registration is a signal:
